A retired firefighter with the Montgomery Fire Department, he is survived by his wife of 53 years, Frances Jeanette Collier, sisters Patricia Rutland and Shirley Vines (David), daughters Lisa Nealy (Ronnie) and Lisa Schultz (Troy), son Randy Cook, grandchildren Philisha, Lacey and Nathan Heisler (Savannah), 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren as well as many other loving relatives and friends.
William was preceded in death by his parents Ocie & Alice Collier, sisters Mary Santure and Jeno Collier, and sons Billy Collier and David Phelps.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday March 5, 2022 at Alabama Heritage Cemetery in Montgomery.
