William R Hope

Hope, William Roddie,82 went to be with our Heavenly Father Sunday June 22, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents Bunk and Icie Belle Hope. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Patricia Ann Hope and his children; Larry Hope (Barbara), Anita Hope Roberson (Jimmy), Cindy Hope Hornsby (Scott),Debbie Hope Easterling (Mike), and David Hope(Carlando). Grandchildren Bill Holliday,(Kim), Brooke Motes (Jerry), Trish Hope, Todd Hope, Sheila Barkley (Luke), Adam Roberson, Drew Easterling(Liz), John Easterling, Chelsea Keener(Joey),Baily Hope, Presston Hope. Great Grandchildren: Hope, Hayden and Daniel Holliday, Chase and Kynleigh Motes, Ryleigh, Landon, Logan Hope and Kayleigh Easterling and brother; John Hope and numerous nieces and nephews. He was compassionate and kind to all he met and will be greatly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him. He was a volunteer at The Hope Center and the Burkville Fire Department. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and the greatest Pawpaw in the world. He was a faithful member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church since 1961. He served as a Sunday School teacher and was currently serving as a deacon. Anyone that knew Roddie knew he was a big Alabama fan and that he’s in Heaven giving a “Big Roll Tide!”. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to: Ridgecrest Baptist Church, 5260 Vaughn Road Montgomery, Al 36116. He will be turning 83 on Wednesday and celebrating his birthday in heaven. In celebration of his life and to honor him the visitation will be Thursday June 26, 2014 at Leak Memory Chapel from 9:30 until 11:00 am with funeral services beginning at 11:00 with Dr. Dale Huff and Rev. Tom Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Todd Hope, Bill Holliday, Jerry and Chase Motes, Presston Hope, Joey Keener, Drew and John Easterling, Adam Roberson and Luke Barkley. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Hope Sunday School Class of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.Arrangements under the direction of Leak Memory Chapel, Montgomery, AL.
