battle with Parkinson’s disease. He leaves his wife, Joyce and three children, Chuck
Jones(Jennie), Beverly Ficken (David), and Gary Jones (Sarah). Also, 10 grandchildren,
Thomas Jones(Jessica), Hannah Foether (John), Jesse Jones, Ben Jones, Neilly Ficken, Jon
Hunt Ficken, Lilia Ficken, Kimbrel Jones, Elyse Jones, and Jaylah Jones. He had four great
grandchildren, Judah Jones, Grace Jones, Rowan Foether, and Brinley Foether.
Tommy retired from the Federal Highway Administration where he was a highway engineer and
from the army where he achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
Tommy loved the Lord, his family, his church, and the outdoors. He spent countless hours on
his tree farm and loved hunting and growing things. In his son’s words, “He was the best man I
ever knew”
