Sims, William Ira, age 87, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2014. He was preceded in death by a son, William Glenn Sims. Mr. Sims is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joyce Couch Sims; two sons, Tommy (Anne) Sims, Phillip Sims; one grandson, Clay Sims. Mr. Sims served in the United States Navy, he served as a Deacon at Highland Gardens Baptist Church and he owned and operated Sims Exterminating Company. Funeral services will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 3:00 pm with Rev Randy Bush officitating. Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Highland Gardens Baptist Church
