at age 80. He passed away on September 26, 2015.
Bill was born in Montgomery, Alabama and graduated from Sidney Lanier High
school in 1954. He joined the US Air Force shortly after his graduation, and served
his country with honor being stationed primarily in Europe.
In Germany, he met and married his wife, Helga, of 55 years, and moved to the
US in 1960 where he operated and co‐owned Helga’s Hair Styling Studio.
He was known as a man of integrity who faithfully loved and served his family, his church, and his
community.
Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Helga, and is survived by his four children (Ron Stephens, Audrey
Buesinger, Stefani Taylor and Adam Stephens), and her nine grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 2nd at 12:00 PM at Evangel Church, 3975 Vaughn Rd,
Montgomery, AL 36106 with a visitation time beginning at 11:00 AM.
