
William Edward Waters died peacefully at home on February 1, 2015. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Eugenia Sanderson Waters, and by his oldest daughter, Beverley Waters Blount. Bill was born in Stratford, Ontario, grew up in Gettysburg, PN, and attended the University of Minnesota. A veteran of World War II, he met his southern belle at Craig Air Force Base, and they married on Easter Sunday, 1942. After retiring from service, Bill and Gene moved back to Montgomery where they spent the rest of their happy life. Survivors include daughters Barbara W. Larson and Carol W. Butler, grandchildren Winton M. Blount IV and Diana, Stuart B. Yelverton and Noble, William E. W. Blount and Jessica, Judkins D. Blount and Martha, David D. Larson, Jr. and Allison, Beverley L. Shull and Rush, Louise L. Heisler and Richard, W. Sim Butler and Rachel, T. R. S. Butler and Claire; William E. W. Butler, and twenty lovely great-grandchildren. His family wishes to thank his dedicated caregiver, Ms. Nettie Overton, for her kindness and support. Visitation at First United Methodist Church at 10 am February 3; memorial service at the church at 10:30, followed by interment at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Eugenia S. Waters fund of the Central Alabama Community Foundation or your favorite charity
