Willie Hugh Garner

Garner, Willie Hugh, 69, passed away Friday, January 28, 2011 after an extended illness. His funeral service will be held at Leak Memory on Monday, January 31, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Willie Garner and Margie Shields Garner and brother John Wayne Garner. Willie is survived by his wife of 47 years Rebecca (Becky) Crapps Garner of Montgomery. Daughter, Lisa Smith (Russell) Wetumpka, Son, Gary Garner (Rhonda) Montgomery, Daughter, Sherry Mahone (Keith) Montgomery. Grandchildren, Rebecca and Garner Smith, Garrett Garner, Erica, Evan and Emily Mahone. Sisters, Faye Gay, Jackie McClung, Judy Garner Harmann and Linda Pittman. Pallbearers will be Bill Gay, Jim Gay, Robin Carr, John Pittman, Mike Andrews, Randy Andrews, Woody Bozeman, Wayne Bozeman, Jr. Special thanks to the physicians and staff at Jackson Hospital and Noland Long Term Care as well as Dr. Larry Williams. Those who knew Willie Hugh knew nothing but a friend and he will be sorely missed.
