Willie Peak, a lifelong resident of Montgomery, passed away on May 8, 2026. He was born on June 27, 1932, to Willie D. Peak, Sr. and Annie Charon Christan Peak. He served on the Montgomery City Council from 1975 to 1983 and as President of the City Council from 1977 to 1983. His brother, Robert Christan Peak, died in 1965. His wife, Doris Jean Gast Peak, died in 2021.
He is survived by his children, Beth Peak Thompson and her husband, Paul Thompson; Jeanne Peak; and Lee Anne Peak Williams and her husband, Keith Williams; grandchildren, Charles Andrew Williams (Maggie Lyn Lumsden), and Rebecca Lee Williams Landry (Kyle); and great-grandson, William Richard Landry.
Visitation will be at Leak Memory Chapel on Friday, May 15 from 5:00-7:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at Leak Memory Chapel on Saturday, May 16 at 11:00 am.
