Anne Swann

On January 31st, 2016 at Mount Sinai Hospital in Montreal, of Ovarian Cancer. Anne was born in London, England and came to Canada with her parents as a teenager. She attended Dawson College and McGill University in Montreal. Anne was passionate about wellness and health and worked most of her life as a fitness leader and later added holistic nutrition to her certifications. Leadership and innovation characterized her career. She had the ability to connect with everyone she encountered. She began her career with the Women’s Y organization in Montreal. She then worked at the YMCA and at the Canada Games Aquatic Center in Saint John, New Brunswick. During that time Anne was elected chair of the New Brunswick Fitness Council. She later joined the Goodlife organization where she worked in both Fredericton and Halifax. She is survived by her Father Gerald Swann, her brother Raphael, her husband Robert Barriault, and her daughters Camille and Sarah Barriault. A celebration of Anne’s life will be held in Montreal at a later date. The family wishes to thank Anne’s many friends and colleagues who gave her support and love throughout this ordeal.
