It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Aurelio Angelini, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, on January 18, 2024. He was 90 years old.
He was a devoted husband to his loving wife of 60 years, Paola, and a dedicated father to his two children, Nicola (Stéphanie) and Maria (Domenico). Aurelio found immense joy in the presence of his grandchildren Matteo, Diego, Olivia, Luca, and Marco, cherishing every moment spent with them.
Born in the quaint village of Pomaro, Italy, Aurelio embodied the values of hard work and dedication from an early age. Upon immigrating to Canada, he found his calling as a welder. His skilled craftsmanship paired with meticulous attention to detail garnered the respect and admiration of his colleagues at Canadian National and Alstom. He approached each project with a steadfast determination, ensuring excellence in every endeavour.
Beyond his profession, Aurelio had an undeniable love for cars. Whether it was restoring classic models or marvelling at the latest innovations in automotive technology, his enthusiasm for cars knew no bounds.
His garage was his sanctuary, where he found solace and joy in pursuing his hobby. In addition, he was known for his love of dancing. Whether it was the lively steps of the rock ’n’ roll or the graceful movements of the waltz, he was always eager to glide across the dance floor and ensured to pass this passion to his son and daughter.
Let us also fondly remember him for his trademark style, always sporting his cherishing caps.
A celebration of Aurelio’s life will be held privately as per his wishes.
He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts.
