After a brief illness, Clara passed away with her daughter Sue at her side. She will be deeply missed by her children Nora (Hugh), Tom (Lisa), Clara (Marcus), Sue and her much loved grandchildren: Sarah, Alexander, Cameron and Jamie.
A proud Hungarian who contributed enormously to arts and literature in the Hungarian community in Montreal, she was a fiercely devoted mother who instilled a powerful bond within her family. A newcomer to Canada, she had survived the atrocities of World War II and the Communist oppression in Hungary. She always had the courage to stand up for what she believed and never feared to speak her mind. She was our biggest fan and we were hers. Prosit!
She is preceded in death by her husband Odon, her mother Gizella, her father Jeno, and sister Hedi.
