Colleen Contant

Our beloved Colleen is the daughter of the late Emmett Contant and Beatrice (Connaughan), stepdaughter of the late Kay Contant (Belisle). Colleen leaves to mourn her daughter and son, Fotini (Tina) Titsis (Edgard De Aza) and Dimitrios Titsis. Grandmother to 3 granddaughters, Megan Poirier and Angelina and Julia DeAza. Dear sister to Margaret (Ray) Chapeskie, Jackie (Ed) Shipway, Tony Contant, Gary (Cathy) Contant, John (Val) Contant, Debbie (Rick) Feener, Michael Contant and stepsister Linda Belisle. Will be deeply missed by her Montreal sister, Ginette Sabourin and family. Beloved Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by Jimmy Contant and sister Gail Cameron (Langlois, Hodgins), stepbrothers Britt and Stuart Belisle, niece Ayla Contant Anstett and infant nephew John Contant.

Our Irish Colleen went to meet her Lord surrounded by the love of her family where she will be greeted by many family and friends. She grew up in the village of Eganville, Ontario where she was the third in a family of ten children of French and Irish parents (let us not forget the German grandmother). She married Christos and moved to Montreal where she raised their two children. For the past year Colleen lived with Tina and enjoyed having that time with her and her young granddaughters.

Colleen started out in nursing but switched over to the restaurant business and became the jack of all trades.

She was a strong, loving and patient person, the cool mom on the block and always supported her children.

She loved to read, watch hockey, play cards, bingo and her criminal games on Facebook.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 28th from 2-5pm and 6-9pm and the funeral on Friday at 11am at Centre Funeraire Cote-des-nieges, 4525 Cote-des-Neiges, Montreal , Qc H3V 1E7. Live streaming is available through the funeral website : https://funeraweb.tv/en/diffusions/52460
