Born on November 30, 1946 in British India, now known as Karachi, Pakistan, Derek was the son of the late Dominic and Clara D’Souza. In addition to being a loving son, he was also a loving brother, brother in law, uncle and friend. He enjoyed dinners with his family, visits from his friends, and listening and singing to the music he loved.
Derek is survived by his sisters Bertha Fernandes (the late Tyrone Fernandes), Suzanne Gonsalves (Charles), and predeceased by his brother the late Rudolph D’Souza (Romana). He also leaves behind his many nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces.
Derek was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A service to celebrate Derek’s life will be held on Friday March 21st @11am at St. Luke’s church, 106A Anselme Lavigne, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC, H9A 1N8.
Burial will be at 2:30pm at Lakeview Cemetery located at 701 Donegani, Pointe Claire, QC, H9R 5G6.
