Edward Inniss

The remarkable journey of Edward Inniss began in the beloved arms of Winifred Inniss and Charles Sealy on December 23, 1950. At this point, his life circle started and despite obstacles and circumstances, his path toward salvation began.Growing up alongside his brother and best friend; Shirff Inniss, Edward developed a meaningful life in Barbados. After acknowledging the meaning of life, he set out abroad to not only spread his wings but to fulfill his desire for a more rich and meaningful existence. By this point, his birth land Barbados had given him the tools and hunger needed to thrive abroad and along with the support of his brother and family, he set out to Montreal,Canada to better himself. While establishing himself he came across a pure, free spirited young woman - Man/a Roberts and so the story begins. Wanting family and an established life, they forged a bond that in a!! senses was indestructable and laid the foundation for their only son -Nicholas Edward Inniss.With family at stake, Edward, like most of us, rose to the occasion and with a pure heart and open mind, sought out to find and develop his spirituality. With his family beside him and our Almighty Father watching over him, he raised his son with a steady hand. He grew into the role of a family oriented man and made himself available for those who needed him- both family and friends, with the help of the Lord. Pushing his limits and beliefs in time brought him to recognize the true meaning of life as he grew and counted his blessings. He was constantly reminding those around him how much we had to be appreciative of. The jump from humble beginnings to modern day comfort had started as a dream but with discipline and hard work, Edward soon showed us anything was possible as long as discipline, faith and honesty in one's self was within us.The Edward we grew to love did so by gaining our respect and expected us to take him seriously. Independence and strength gave him a sense of maturity among us as the things he wanted for himself he expected from us all. Wisdom and strength emanated from him and his presence alone was appreciated from us ail at one time or another. The remarkable thing about Edward was his ability to expect greatness even when it seemed there was little room for it. Finding the silver lining, so to speak, was his forte and always staying avant-garde "one step ahead" was what kept him smiling.He lived for his family first and himself last making him one of the most selfless, kind and unforgettable souls the Lord has blessed us with ever encountering.As we gather here today to pay our respects, we should keep in mind the things gained by knowing such an extraordinary individual. It is my belief that even now as he watches over us, he is smiling. Accomplished and proud of having completed his circle of life and having lived to the fullest of his ability. It is my sincere belief he would expect us to not only mourn his passing but to rejoice in his life. It is a celebration of life and that is the silver lining within Edward's soul.
