Edwin Skapsts passed away on December 9, 2025, soon after his100th birthday.
Edwin was born in Latvia and came to Canada as a refugee after World War II. He enjoyed a successful career as a landscape architect and was an active member of the Latvian community in Montreal. He passed away at his home in Hudson, Quebec.
He is mourned by his beloved and loving friend, Egina Nicholson, his adopted family, relatives in Latvia and the entire Latvian community in Montreal.
Following a funeral in Hudson, Quebec, his ashes will be interred in his native Latvia.
