Elio Ponte

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Elio Ponte, who departed this life on April 3, 2026, at the age of 85. Elio was born on November 13, 1940, in Castelletto Merli, Italy, to the late Luigina Capra and the late Natalino Ponte.

From an early age, Elio embraced life with enthusiasm, carrying with him a strong sense of warmth and curiosity that remained with him throughout his life.

Elio was the devoted husband of Milagros Marica Regacho, with whom he shared love, companionship, and many cherished moments. He was also a proud and caring stepfather to Alyssa Pamela Obillo and Elison Paul Obillo, whom he loved deeply and supported as his own. He will also be fondly remembered by his sister in law, Baby Marybel Regacho.

Known for his vibrant personality, Elio truly loved life. A natural storyteller, he delighted friends and family with his jokes, quick wit, and engaging conversations. Elio was highly knowledgeable and never shy about sharing his opinions, often sparking lively and memorable discussions filled with humor and insight.

Elio leaves behind a legacy of laughter, strong family values, and lasting memories. He will be profoundly missed by his wife, stepchildren, sister in law, extended family, and the many friends whose lives he touched through his warmth, humor, and genuine spirit.

Funeral services will be held on April 21, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Centre Funéraire Côte des Neiges, located at 4525 Chemin de la Côte des Neiges, Montréal, Québec.
