Peacefully on Saturday morning, May 20, Emmy passed away just shy of her 95th birthday. She met the love of her life, Joseph, in 1953 while he was in hospital and she was his nurse. Throught 62 years of marriage and friendship, they shared their passion for travel, skiing, tennis, hiking and other adventures while raising two sons Philip (Marie-France Thériault) and John (Natali Boulva). Affectionately known as Oma to her grandchildren Naomie (along with Mathieu and Maxime), Sacha, Mikaël, Claire and Charlotte, she will be missed by her family and her close friends both in Montreal and Saint Sauveur. The family would like to thank the dedicated staff of 3A in the Hope Pavilion of the Jewish Eldercare facility where she spent the past year. A special mention of gratitude is extended to Mildred Escoll and Eleanor Goodhand for their care giving and devotion spending countless hours in Oma's company to make her comfortable. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 30 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Centre Funéraire Côte-des-Neiges (4525 Côte-des-Neiges Road, Montreal). A funeral mass will take place on Wednesday, May 31 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapelle de la Résurrection located in the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetary (entrance at 4601 Côte-des-Neiges Road). In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Jewish Eldercare Facility (www.jewisheldercare.ca) or to the Alzheimer Group in Montreal (www.agiteam.org)
