It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eugene (Jeno) Henye on Tuesday February 26, 2019 at the age of 93 in Montreal. A civil engineer who traveled the world, he loved the beauty of nature, humanity and it's diverse cultures. From a young age, he was a bright student always at the top of his class. Photography was his passion and he carried his camera almost everywhere he went. Today, he has left behind a treasure of photos to his family that tell the story of his life. He will never be forgotten.

Eugene was the beloved husband of the late Stella Diamandopoulou Henye, brother of the late Nandor Henye and brother-in-law of Andrea Henye, Eugenia Komninos, Helen Karamalis, and the late Maria Ratner. He was also the uncle of Andrea (Tuszi) Henye, Amalia, Demetri and Stella Karamalis, Nick, Elsa and Sotiri Komninos, Melinda and Andrew Ratner. 

The family will receive condolences on Sunday March 3, from 2 to 5pm at Cote-des-Neiges funeral home, 4525 Cote-des-Neiges, Montreal, H3V 1E7. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Hungary Parish, 90 Guizot west, Montreal, H2P 1L4, on Monday March 4 at 11am, followed by burial at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery, 4601 Côte-des-Neiges, Montreal, H3V 1E7 (OR-4272). Reception will be served at the funeral home after the burial from 1 to 3pm.
