It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Evan, affectionately known as “Rupert” or “Rupee,” on September 13, 2026.
Born in St. Philip, Barbados, Evan left Barbados for England before eventually settling in Canada, where he married his wife, Coral, and built his life and family.
Evan worked at ICN before retiring. He had a lifelong passion for music and enjoyed a wide range of musical styles, from classical to soca.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He will be lovingly remembered by those whose lives he touched and deeply missed by his family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on September 29 at Collins Clarke Funeral Home, 5610 Sherbrooke St W, Montreal, Quebec H4A 1W5.
Viewing: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Funeral Service: 12:00 p.m. – 1:15 p.m.
The interment will follow at Côte-des-Neiges Cemetery.
