For nearly 65 years, she had been the loving wife of Wojtich Dykyj, who predeceased her in 2011. She is survived by her only child Oksana Dykyj and her husband John Locke. Genia had been active in numerous Ukrainian women’s organizations, choirs and church committees during her nearly 80 years in Montreal.
She was a great cook, avid gardener and was always ready to help people in need.
A private funeral will be held at St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church.
