Predeceased by his parents Aphrodite and Steven, his sister Rita and his brothers Christie and Michael. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 42 years Liz (Gena), his brothers and sisters-in-law Gus (Tony) & Pam, Ruth, and James (Jimmy) & Nellie, his sisters-in-law Vivian (James), Brenda & Marilyn and his many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews as well as his extended Albanian family. George was a proud member of the Montreal Alouettes Alumni and will be remembered for the way he valued his family, his friends and sports as well as his love of laughter and life. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to the Auxiliary of the Father Dowd Home (6565 Hudson Road, Montreal, QC H3S 2T7) or Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities (Montreal Chapter) (P.O. Box 770, Station K, Toronto, ON M4P 2V8) would be appreciated.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Cote des Neiges Funeral Home (4525 Cote des Neiges Road, Montreal, QC H3V 1E7) on Sunday, October 7th 2018 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
