Georges Guimond

Georges Joseph Azarie Guimond, passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s Hospital in Montreal with his daughters by his side on December 26, 2019. Georges was born in Verdun to the late Alphonse Guimond and Albina Rose Worth on June 28, 1927.

An Insurance broker and long time LaSalle resident, Georges was an avid golfer and master bridge player. He had a penchant for ice cream and loved swimming, especially in the ocean, but mostly he loved spending time with his grandchildren who fondly called him ‘Bubba”.

Georges was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Margaret Buchanan. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Joanne (Al Ribeiro) and Louise (Alain Filion), adored grandchildren, Olivia, Patrick, Zachary, as well as extended relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank the auxiliary staff and nurses of the CLSC of LaSalle who made it possible for him to stay in his apartment with his beloved cat, Rosie, until the end.

À Montréal le 26 décembre 2019, à l'âge de 92 ans, est décédé M. Georges Joseph Azarie Guimond, époux de feu Margaret Buchanan, à l’hôpital St. Mary’s. Fils de feu Alphonse Guimond et Rose Albina Worth, il est né le 28 juin 1927 à Verdun.

Il laisse dans le deuil ses filles, Joanne (Al Ribeiro) et Louise (Alain Filion), ses petits-enfants Olivia, Patrick, Zachary ainsi que parents et amis.

La famille tient à remercier le personnel du CLSC LaSalle pour leur soutien et les bons soins prodigués.
