It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gilbert Michetti on May 4, 2019 at the Lakeshore General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the youngest son of the late Vincenzo Michetti and Secondina Giorgi. Born and raised in NDG, he was a pillar in the development of minor league sports in his community.
He leaves to mourn his partner of 31 years, Grace Benato, his three sons, Vince (Nora), Stephen (Carmen), Gilbert Jr. (reenie), his two sisters Josie Guaiani and Joanie Dosedel, his eight grandchildren, his beloved dog Sassy, extended family and many close friends.
The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at St-Raymond's church, 5765 rue St-Jacques, Montréal at 11.30 a.m. Burial at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges cemetery.
