I was really shocked to learn about, the sudden demise of professor Grell Grant. He was a wonderful professor, as he had helped me a lot throughout my studies in college and I got to learn a lot from him. He would always give me good advices when I was unsure what to do. My condolences to the whole family. I truly miss you Sir you will always be in my heart. 😭

He is my best colleague. Very good work ethics, will respond to students in a matter of hours. His passion to work is unmatched. He loves to inspire students to write thoughtful responses and he graded the works very diligently and gives constructive feedback. I would like to take him if I was a student.

Our sincere condolences to all the family.  May God give you strength to get through this very difficult time.  It is not easy but as time goes by, it becomes easier to accept the loss of your loved one who is not with us physically but will always be with us in our heart.

My memories of Grell were short but always memorable. He greeted me as a new teacher with warmth and wisdom that emanated from him from the get go. I am no longer at JAC, but  was deeply saddened of this news.

After 40 years of being office mates, after intense conversations on sociological concepts and their relationship to philosophical ideas, after helping me out with pedagogical problems that I thought were insurmountable, after the delightful socializing we did outside the college, after the intense laughs we had about everything under the sun, a deep hole has been left in my heart that will never be replaced.    My deepest condolences to Emma and Grell's family who cherished all of Grell's amazing accomplishments.  I'll miss you forever.  Do rest in peace.

Rest In Peace Old Friend,
I was shocked to hear of the sudden passing of my old friend.  Grell and I shared many memories and good times. I will miss him dearly.  My sincere condolences to the family and friends.

My deep sympathies to Grell's family, Emma, and his friends and colleagues.  Grell was a supportive colleague to me for decades, open to conversation on so many topics.  Curious and intellectually acute, Grell's closeness to students through his involvement in activities like the chess club was much appreciated.  One could always count on Grell for a kind and concerned word, and I will miss him.

I am going to miss you, my dear friend. I will miss our long walks in the springs and our philosophical conversations. It was always a pleasure having those conversations with you, my brother.

Condolences to aunt Niney, Lorraine, Erell, Shirley, Leroy and all other family members on the passing of Grell.  I hadn't seen Grell in a few years, but when I did see him, he was always very polite. May his soul RIP and RIG. Remember not to mourn as those without hope, for our hope lies in Christ Jesus. Aunt Niney, may God strengthen you during this difficult time.  Condolences also from Renee and Larissa.


Coming into the college after a snowy walk from the train station, I always looked forward to Grell's warm "Good morning, Avery."  I will so miss hearing that greeting.  He was such a warm and caring colleague, who never seemed too rushed to answer a question or lend a hand.

One of the kindest colleagues, he was always ready to share a smile and words of kindness, with a fantastic sense of humour and genuine compassion. All my love to his family, friends and colleagues  

Grell was a great man and a very supportive colleague.  We are very saddened by his passing. May his soul rest in peace.
