Guanqing Lu

Born in China in 1962, during a time of great hardship, Guanqing showed determination and resilience from a young age. His humble beginnings fostered in him a sense of discipline and perseverance, principles that guided him throughout his life.

Guanqing's academic journey was remarkable. He earned his master's degree from the esteemed Chinese Academy of Sciences, and later pursued his Ph.D. from the University of Quebec, Chicoutimi, specializing in Geology. Despite the shifts in the industry, he found his calling as a Database Administrator, contributing significant value to his field.

A believer in education and discipline, Guanqing was known for his reliability and resilience. His strength of character was exemplified by his readiness to bear negativity and confront life's obstacles head-on.

In his personal life, Guanqing was an avid collector of antiquities. He also enjoyed maintaining his health through strength exercises, Qi Gong, dragon boat racing, and fishing.

His commitment to service extended far beyond his professional responsibilities. Guanqing was always there for those who sought his help, offering advice, assistance, and comfort in times of need. His invaluable contributions to the Chinese community will always be remembered.

Guanqing is survived by his loving daughter, Lu Jia, his mother, Ding Dongyin, his two brothers, one sister, two nephews, and two nieces. The love and unity of this family are a testament to the wonderful man Guanqing was. His spirit will continue to live on in the memories and hearts of those who knew him.

As we honor Guanqing's life, we cordially invite you to join us for visitation on June 20th. On June 21st, we will hold a Buddhist ceremony, a reflection of Guanqing's spiritual beliefs, followed by the interment. Your presence at these solemn events would be a tribute to the love and respect we all hold for Guanqing.

In his memory, we would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all of his friends and associates who have been a part of his journey and have shared their love, respect, and support throughout his life.

As we mourn his loss and celebrate his extraordinary life, we are reminded of his love for learning, his commitment to service, and his unwavering strength of character. These qualities will continue to inspire all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Guanqing will be dearly missed, yet his legacy will endure in the hearts and minds of all those he touched. Rest in peace, dear Guanqing.
