I wish to convey my condolences to you Roy, on the passing of your Mum.  
Roylyn and I first met as teenagers in the 1960's, and it was nice to be made to feel welcome in his home (in East Ham, London) by his mother Hilda, who was a lovely, generous lady.

Do not weep at my dead body.

I did not die. 
Don't be sad that you see me no more. But rejoice that I am alive . 
I simply left this mortal body.
 I left with my perfect immortal body. 
I was waiting to be freed . 
I am now free from these physical bonds. 
I have finally reached the destination. 
It is a state of overwhelming love. 
That is the gift of eternal life .
 I rejoice that you have this gift also through Christ. 
I rejoice to see you again in eternal joy. 
I am one with the Father and with you His family. 
I rejoice that we are one as one great family. 
I rejoice that we are predestined for such a place

Hilda Maud Lewis Rattery entered paradise on May 18, 2019

Gran was a woman of boundless energy and strength, and in character, even stronger in resilience and perseverance. She was one of the strongest women that I've ever known and admired her Christian example immensely. Dogmatic at times, it never deterred her from first thinking about others as her reason for it. Seeing her children to the 3rd generation, they now are  the benefactors of such grace. A beautiful soul now with her Maker. She will be dearly missed, but never forgotten. Rest in peace Gran, and blessings to her beautiful family.

I have known Hilda since the 1970's when she welcomed me into her home in London and started treating me as her daughter. Hilda has always been a mother to me, especially after my own mum passed away a few years back. We had planned l visit her but unfortunately it was not to be. I hold fond memories of this great lady l call mum. I feel warmth around me like your presence is near me always. I close my eyes to visualise your face when you were here and will treasure this memory forever. RIP mum

To Roylyn, Tessa, Llewelyn and Family,, I wish to express my deepest sympathies and condolences. My deepest memories of Hilda is one of kindness and compassion. Hilda I am the Mother of two of your grandchildren. You didn’t get to spend a lot of time with them as they are in the UK but they knew you and cared for you. And your spirit will live on through your son Roylyn the Father of Joel and Sacha and your first two grandchildren Tessa and Llewellyn. I know that they will all make you proud.

Mother, your journey here was awesome. Along the way you touched the harts of those you met.

We met in 1984 when we attended a christian church in Montreal. She has been a family friend for years. I had the privilege to accompany her at church gatherings for years and in the more recent part of her life. I had many interesting discussions with her as iron sharpens iron. She was always patient through her difficult times with pains and other ailments.  

As the eldest and only Granddaughter to Ms. Hilda Maud Lewis, my relationship with Gran was truly remarkable.

I have so many reasons to thank God for Gran as she was a significant person in my life for many years.

Without Gran, I know that I would not be the person I am today.

I look forward to sharing memories about my Gran with you. To celebrate her life and the impact it had on those who had the opportunity to meet her and to know her.
