She was born in the town of Folignano, Ascoli Piceno in Italy to parents’ Giuseppina and Guido Corvaro. Iolanda was preceded in death by her sister (Ida), her husband (Franco Spurio) and her beloved daughter (Flavia). She is survived by her 2 remaining children, Gabriella and Lorenzo.
Iolanda was a wonderful sister in law to Giuseppina and Giacomo Salvati. Iolanda was also a loving aunt to her nephew Annunzio and her nieces- Maria(Anthony), Patricia and Melissa (Steve). Iolanda took special joy in being a great aunt to Alexandra, Luca, Matthew, Kayla, Chiara, Adamo, Mila and Leah.
Iolanda was a devout Catholic who took solace and strength in knowing the Lord was with her during her many hardships and family losses in life. Everyone who knew Iolanda knew how much she loved cooking and taking care of her family. She was a generous and devoted mother. She enjoyed working in her vegetable garden , reading, watching her Italian programs, sewing , going for her daily walks in the community and attending weekly mass.
Iolanda will never be forgotten by everyone who loved her. She will always be remembered as the sweetest soul who had a kind word for everyone around her. She will be greatly missed by all her family.
