

She was a warm, kind, thoughtful and loving person who devoted herself to her large family who cherished her deeply. She was born in Chapeau, Quebec. She studied at the Chapeau Normal school and became an elementary school teacher before starting her family. She was athletic, loved to play golf, skate, ski, walk, attend aerobics, play piano, sew, knit, cook and shop, the latter especially for buying presents for her beloved family. She had a gift for creating a special relationship with each and every one of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and leaves them with many loving memories of her.
Predeceased by her devoted husband Bert, her son Gerald, infant son Joseph, and her 4 siblings, Eunice, Raymond, Loretta and Emmett. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Gerald (Ilona), Lois (Robert), Judy (Tom), Ruth (Maurice), Jill, David (Kathy) and Stephen (Linda). Adored by her 15 grandchildren, Patrick (Sarah), Cynthia (Joseph), Christopher (Naeiri), Michael (Lindsey), Sarah (Steve), Nadine (Iain), Daniel (Aixa), Natasha (Cameron), Emma (Bryce), Matthew, William (Nala), Keith (Courtnay), Justine (Adrian), Erin, Amanda and her 14 great-grandchildren. She will be dearly remembered by her sisters, Joan and Gerry and her numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks for the kind and compassionate care she received from her physician, nurses, caregivers and staff at Place Kensington.
Condolences will be received at the Centre funéraire Côte-des-Neiges, located at 4525 ch. de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montreal, QC, H3V1E7, on June 8, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at the same venue from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
