It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jana Barkova, who left us peacefully on September 20, 2025, at the age of 85. Jana was born on September 5, 1940, and lived a life defined by love, resilience, and devotion to her family.
Jana was the beloved wife of the late Vladimir, with whom she shared many cherished years of marriage. Together, they built a strong and loving family that will forever carry her spirit forward.
She will be deeply missed by her sons, Vladimir and his wife Heather, and Michael, who will always remember their mother’s warmth, wisdom, and unwavering support. Jana was also a proud grandmother, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her grandchildren: Kyle, Matthew, Alexandra, and Scott, as well as her cherished great-grandson, Asher.
Jana’s love also extended across generations and borders. She leaves behind extended family and loved ones in Prague, Czech Republic, where her roots remain deeply cherished.
She will be remembered for her kindness, her quiet strength, and the love she showed to all who knew her. Her legacy lives on not only through her family but also through the many lives she touched with her compassion and generosity.
