Janice (Bayley) Burrowes

Dearly beloved wife of Harold Athelston Burrowes for almost 58 years (Oct 1966), loving mother of Peter (Edmonton), Angela (Montreal) and Deborah (Montreal) and cherished sister of Muriel (England), Henrietta, (Trinidad) and Joan (Toronto). She is predeceased by her late brother Neville (Apr 2013).

Janice attended Queens College Barbados, worked a short time at the post office before taking a position at Barclays Bank Barbados. She immigrated to Montreal in Quebec, Canada in 1964 where she worked at Bell Canada. Mom enjoyed gardening, sewing and most of all singing! She attended Berean Bible Church and was involved in the YFC Ministry in Barbados, then was a member of Peoples Church in Montreal where she was a faithful and dedicated member for almost 60 years (Oct 1964). She loved the Lord God who was her guide, her strength and her anchor throughout her life. She is deeply missed by family and a whole host of other relatives and friends spanning around the world.

A viewing will be held with the family at Centre funéraire Côte-des-neiges (4525, Chemin de la Côte-des-neiges, Montreal, QC) on July 4, 2024 from 6-9pm.
