Johanne Carmichael

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of Johanne Carmichael, beloved mother of Stéphanie (Daniel De Palma) and Alexandre (Megan Moore), after a brave battle with cancer. She will be greatly missed by her parents Jean-Louis and Louisette (Villeneuve), her sister Lucie (Benoit Simard) and brothers François, Martin and Michel (Manon Gravel). She will be fondly remembered by the father of her children Jean Peck, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Also left to mourn are many dear friends and colleagues.

Johanne always put other people’s needs before her own, and inspired us with the great resilience and serenity she showed until the end. The strong, intelligent and beautiful woman with a contagious smile and thirst for knowledge leaves behind a legacy of kindness and integrity. She will be missed by all.

The family will receive condolences at the Resurrection Chapel, situated at 4601, Chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montréal, QC H3V1E7 June 13, 2016 from 9:30AM followed by a celebration of her life at 10:30AM. The family wishes to thank the West Island Palliative Care Residence for their excellent care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations in Johanne's memory may be made to the West Island Palliative Care Residence.

Avec beaucoup de tristesse, nous annonçons le décès de Johanne Carmichael, mère adorée de Stéphanie (Daniel De Palma) et Alexandre (Megan Moore), après un combat courageux contre le cancer. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses parents, Jean-Louis et Louisette (Villeneuve), sa soeur Lucie (Benoit Simard) et ses frères François, Martin et Michel (Manon Gravel).

Le père de ses enfants Jean Peck, ainsi que plusieurs tantes, oncles, cousins, cousines, nièces et neveux en gardeont aussi un souvenir de tendresse. Elle laisse également plusieurs ami(e)s et collègues.

Johanne a toujours mis les besoins des autres avant les siens et elle nous a inspiré en avec sa résilience et sa sérénité, qu'elle a démontrées jusqu'à la fin. Une belle femme forte, intelligente, avec un sourire contagieux et un esprit curieux, Johanne était reconnue pour sa gentillesse et son intégrité. Elle manquera énormément à tous.

La famille recevra les condoléances à la chapelle de La Résurrection, située au 4601, chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montréal, QC H3V 1E7, le 13 juin 2016 à compter de 9h30, suivi d'une célébration de sa vie à 10h30...
