August 30, 1944 – January 22, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Fleming at the Royal Victoria Hospital on
January 22, 2025. John was predeceased by his parents, Anne Marie Collin and Thomas Fleming. John is
survived by his daughter Natasha, her partner Tyrone and his four grandsons Nicholas, Eric, Peter and Alex. He also leaves to mourn his partner Colleen. John also will be remembered by his brother Thomas, his sister Nanette (Jean-Claude) and his brother-in-law Alain (predeceased by his sister Cathy). We will all miss him dearly.
John spent many years at Air Liquide and had been enjoying his well-deserved retirement. In healthier
times, he loved to play golf and had been enjoying non-academic classes. He enjoyed travel and always
enjoyed attending and watching baseball games, especially the Expos and now the Blue Jays.
John loved reading and visiting friends and family.
John’s family wish to acknowledge the great care given to John by Dr. B. Thomassin and Dr. Krasne over
many years, and the more recent care by Dr. Bayne and Dr. Warner among others and the excellent staff
at both the Jewish General Hospital and the Royal Victoria Hospital respectively.
Funeral arrangements will be confirmed at a later date.
