With very deep sadness, we announce the passing of Josie O'Dwyer (Nee Joseph Dwyer) on Dec. 29th at 9pm. After a few years of fighting dementia, our kind-hearted, fun-loving, and much loved Josie, passed on to the other side, as he would say, and is at peace.
Josie never hesitated to help someone in need, or to crack a joke and have a laugh. Deeply caring, a lover of art, beauty and music, he brought artistry to all he did, including his work as a plasterer, and his beautifully decorated home. Also very athletic, he was always active with biking (even up to 2 years ago!), swimming, softball and badminton, and of course walking. He loved going for walks in any weather with his dogs, on his own or with anyone who would join.
Josie will live on through us in our many happy memories. He is survived by Heather, Eric and Jaden, and Keith, Nikita, Lexon and Avairess, his siblings and extended family and friends in Ireland and abroad, and also his many friends in Montreal.
Condolences will be held on Friday, January 17 from 2pm-4pm, followed by a chapel service at 4pm at Collins Clarke Funeral Home, 5610 Sherbrooke St. W, Montréal, Québec.
Collins Clarke MacGillivray White will webcast the funeral ceremony of Joseph O'Dwyer on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 3:50 PM EST to 5:50 PM EST. You can view the ceremony live or on replay at https://funeraweb.tv/en/diffusions/101701
