Born in China in 1932, he got married in 1954 and emigrated to Canada and raised a family of 3 children. He used his practical skills to support his family first as a cook in a restaurant, then an entrepreneur in his hand laundry shop, and then many years as a factory worker. He was a resourceful do it yourself person, often creating solutions that one could not buy. As one who did not like the limelight, his faithful, diligent, self-sacrificing life spoke for him. When visited he was in the habit of inquiring about the well being of others and thought of ways to benefit them. His faith in God was most characterized by his trust in God for the outcome to life’s details.
In his immediate family, he leaves daughters Mabel and Wanda (Sylvain), son Marlin (Laura), his grandchildren (Joshua, Rachel, Michael, Anissa, Kimberly, and Matthew), great-grandchildren (Mila, Luca, Della, and Amelia), and siblings Thomas (May) and James (Shirley).
The funeral will be held at Côte-des-Neiges funeral home on May 23rd with visitation from 2-4 p.m. followed by a commemorative service at 4 p.m. and a reception at 5:00p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation. https://stmaryshospitalfoundation.ca/
My father was a dialysis patient and asking people to specify the Dialysis Fund would ensure that funding goes towards that department.
Thanks for your support and understanding.
