Leonard, fondly known as Len, suffered a heart attack and passed away on March 22, 2023. Len was born to the late George and Margaret Tanner, on July 16, 1946, in Dalton-in-Furness, England. After graduating, Len emigrated to Canada, where he had a successful career as an engineer, working in the world’s four corners. Doting Dad to Melanie and grandad to Beatrice, Len is survived by his beloved sister, Sheila and her husband, Eric, along with his cherished nieces Karen (Will) and Kay (Stuart), and grandnephew Daniel (Keely) and grandnieces, Abbie (Matty), Cara Mae, great-grand nephews Mason, Elijah, Logan, Miles. He will be truly missed.
The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at 4 p.m. at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Collins Clarke Funeral Home. Visitation begins at 1.
