Marco Valori

Our beloved Marco Valori passed away on April 14th, 2023 surrounded by his family and close friends. He was taken to soon by amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) disease, this horrible progressive nervous system illness.

He was born on April 12th, 1956 in Acquasanta, Italy to Emidio Valori and Antonia Monti Valori, and then moved to Canada with his family at the age of four.

Marco truly lived his life to the fullest through simple pleasures; He liked attending to every family gathering, cooking for his best friends on Sunday, playing golf, going to watch hockey games, and traveling to Florida or Arizona. He also enjoyed sitting in the front of his home just to say ‟hi‟ or ‟hello bella‟ to neighbours who were passing by.

He is survived by his brother Amelio, his niece Lindsay (Luis Enrique), his three greats’ nephews Luigi, Mia, Eva, and the rest of the family. To the friends he chose as family and others whose lives Marco touched, remember him as the kind and loving person he was.

One of Marco's last wishes is for each of us to start contributing to the ALS foundation for those who are still fighting and those who have gone before us.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Montreal Neurological Institute Hospital for their care and for respecting Marco’s wishes up to the end.

We will hold visits on April 25th from 3pm to 9pm at the Côte-Des-Neiges Funeral Home

Notre bien-aimé Marco Valori est décédé le 14 avril 2023 entouré de sa famille et de ses amis proches. Il a rapidement été pris par la sclérose latérale amyotrophique (SLA), cette horrible maladie progressive du système nerveux.

Il est né le 12 avril 1956 à Acquasanta, en Italie, d’Emidio Valori et Antonia Monti Valori, puis a déménagé au Canada avec sa famille à l'âge de quatre ans.

Marco a vraiment vécu sa vie au maximum à travers des plaisirs simples; Il aimait assister à toutes les réunions de famille, cuisiner pour ses meilleurs amis le dimanche, jouer au golf, aller voir des matchs de hockey et voyager en Floride ou en Arizona. Il aimait aussi s'asseoir devant sa maison juste pour dire 'salut' ou 'bonjour bella' aux voisins qui passaient.

Il laisse dans le deuil son frère Amelio, sa nièce Lindsay (Luis Enrique), ses trois grands neveux Luigi, Mia, Eva et le reste de la famille. Aux amis qu'il a choisis comme famille et aux autres dont Marco a touché la vie, souvenez-vous de lui comme de la personne gentille et aimante qu'il était.

L'un des derniers souhaits de Marco est que chacun de nous commence à contribuer à la fondation ALS pour ceux qui se battent encore et ceux qui nous ont précédés.

La famille tient à remercier le personnel de l'Hôpital de l'Institut neurologique de Montréal pour leurs soins et pour avoir respecté la volonté de Marco jusqu'au bout.

Nous tiendrons des visites le 25 avril de 15h à 21h à la Maison funéraire Côte-Des-Neige.
