Nancy was born on the island of Montserrat to Eliza and James Davis. She immigrated to Ottawa, Canada in the early 60s for work but shortly after found her way to Montreal where she made her new home. There, she met and married her love, James Sweeney. They were married for 28 years until his passing in 2013. This marriage brought more love with the addition of 7 step children.
Nancy is survived by her brother George Davis (Gertrude) and family in Boston; sister Margaret ‘Queen’ Davis and family in England; her numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Nancy was predeceased by her loving sister Margaret Davis Caines – St Kitts and her adoring brother Prince Anthony (Tony) Davis – Toronto.
"Auntie", "Nan", "Nancy girl" will be dearly missed by her family, countless friends, church members and the Montserrat community. She will be remembered for her kind tender calm demeanour and of course her style. She was such a generous soul that we are comforted and confident that she is in the loving arms of her Lord and Saviour.
We wish to thank the devoted and caring staff at St. Margaret's for their kind service to our dear Nancy.
