Robert Maxime Presseau

Robert Maxime Presseau, 85, of Châteauguay, passed away on February 28, 2026. Born on March 17, 1939, in Montreal to Veronica and Romeo Presseau.

He is predeceased by his loving wife Anna as well as their daughter Deborah. He is lovingly remembered by his granddaughter Amanda (Fred), and his cherished great-grandchildren, Miriam and Elliott, who brought him immense pride and happiness. He is also survived by his sisters Lucy, Madeline (Danny), and Bernadette (Aaron). He is also lovingly remembered by his extended family and dear friends, including the Nasro family, who became family in every way that mattered.

A lifelong salesman, Robert had a natural gift for connecting with people and often worked for himself, guided by his independence and entrepreneurial spirit. He had an eye for a good deal and a deep love for the thrill of a bargain, especially if it meant an early morning garage sale.

For over 40 years, Robert had a close and personal relationship with the Lord that shaped the way he lived his life. His faith opened doors to many meaningful opportunities, including serving as a chaplain for the Montreal Expos, sharing the word of God with children at hockey camps, ministering to newly arrived refugee families, and speaking about his love for the Lord whenever the opportunity arose. At church, he was affectionately known as the grandpa who gave the very best hugs, a reflection of the warmth, comfort, and joy he carried with him.

Robert was a true jokester at heart. He loved to make people laugh and never missed an opportunity to lighten the mood. His sense of humor was such a defining part of who he was that he even wrote his own joke book, a lasting reminder of the joy he brought to others.

Robert will be remembered for his warmth, his faithful service to others, quick wit, his love of a good deal, and the countless smiles he left behind. His laughter will echo in the hearts of those who knew him.

Visitation will be held at Centre funéraire Côte-des-Neiges, 4525 ch. de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montreal, QC, H3V1E7, on March 27, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and again from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the same location on March 28, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.

A Funeral Service will take place at Centre funéraire Côte-des-Neiges, 4525 ch. de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montreal, QC, H3V1E7, on March 28, 2026, at 10 am.

Burial will follow at Mount Royal Cemetery, 1297 Chem. de la Forêt, Montréal, QC, H2V 2P9, on March 28, 2026, at 11:15 am
