Salvatore Sandonato

Beloved husband of 54 years to Eva, devoted father to Rosa (Domenico) and Antonio, and cherished Nonno to Stefano, Luca, Dante, Lorenzo, and Mattias.

Predeceased by his beloved parents, Antonio and Raffaella Sandonato, and his cherished father-in-law, Sisto Palucci.

He will be greatly missed by his mother-in-law, Rosa Palucci, his sister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

His dedication to his loved ones was unwavering, and his home was always filled with love and laughter. Everyone will remember him as “il barbiere”, the man who made sopressata, and for his passion for fishing and mushroom picking. He will be remembered as a gentle soul who always made time for those he loved.

He was devoted to and loved volunteering at Sainte-Catherine-de-Sienne.

The family will receive condolences at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home, 5610 Sherbrooke Street West, Montreal, QC, H4A 1W5, on Sunday, May 18, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

A funeral mass will be held at Sainte-Catherine-de-Sienne on Monday, May 19 at 11 a.m.

The family would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Marc Deschênes, France, Dr. Margaret Warner at the Liver and Hematology Clinic at the Glen Hospital, Dr. Golda Tradounsky, Jill, and the staff at Mount Sinai Hospital.
