

Siu Han Lee was born on May 21st, 1921 in the Ghong Yik city of Canton. Her father, Lee Lock Man and her mother Low Low Ying loved her very much. They did not allow her to do any housework because they had a maid at home. Her father was a grocery store owner. Her mother gave birth a few years later to a son named Lap Phat Lee.
At the young age of 19, Siu Han married her husband, Hon Ngep Tse and moved to live in Toishan. It was then she learned how to cook, how to sew and how to manage big and small matters in the household. She had eight children, eldest son Ying Doon, eldest daughter Mei Chun, second daughter Mei Yuk, second son Chek Doon, 3rd daughter, Mei Kam, 3rd son, Yun Chun, 4th son Hay Doon and the 5th son Sun Wachun.
After the liberation of China, the whole family moved down to Hong Kong. Those were the difficult times. Siu Han had to work to support her family.
In 1966, Siu Han moved again but this time to Canada. Surrounded by her children and grandchildren, she continued to live a long and peaceful life up to the age of 84 years.
Siu Han Tse passed away peacefully as the sun rose on March 31st, 2005 in her eighty fourth year of life in the presence of her loved ones. She is survived by her husband Hon Ngep Tse, her children Mei Chun, Mei Yuk, Chek Doon, Mei Kam, Yun Chun, Kay Doon and Wachum all of whom loved her dearly. Siu Han will also be missed by her grandchildren Nancy, Susy, Robert, Suk Jing, Chun Wah, Chun Kiurn, Chun Man, William, Michael, Samuel and Eva who adored her for her kindness and endless love.
She was born in Canton but came to Canada in 1966 with her children in hopes of better living conditions for them. Since then, her children have thrived and most had started families of their own, giving her several grandchildren who loved her.
Siu Han loved flowers and gardening and it brought her much joy to grow melons and share them with her rfamily, which was her focus in life.
