Born in Italy on August 12th, 1932, Velia eventually made her home in Canada, where she touched the lives of many with her warmth, kindness, and enduring strength. Her journey from Italy to Canada was marked by resilience and an unwavering spirit, traits that were apparent to everyone who knew her.

Velia was predeceased by her beloved spouse, Gaetano De Simone. Together, they built a life rich in love and family, leaving a legacy that will be cherished by many. Velia's memory will be kept alive by her cherished family.
