William Lucey

Cherished husband of Diane (Fortin) Lucey, loving father of Michèle (Gérard Huni), proud and doting grandfather of Nicolas and Arielle, Bill will also be fondly missed and remembered by the Lucey family, his sisters Cathy and Joyce as well as his nieces and nephews Julie (Mark), Jeffrey, Shannon and Garrett and great nephew Will, as well as many extended family, colleagues, and friends.

Born in Montreal, Quebec, on November 29th, 1934, son of the late Joseph Lucey and Margaret Olive Virtue. Bill attended Montreal High School before beginning a long and dedicated career at the Toronto Dominion Bank. During nearly 40 years, he attained various roles in accounting, training, management, and inspection. He touched many lives throughout his years of work and was highly regarded for his conscientiousness, integrity, and kindness. In retirement, he dedicated his life to his grandchildren and family, travel, and gardening.

His close family will honor him on Thursday March 17th, 2022, at Centre Funéraire Côte-des-Neiges with a private graveside service in Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery. A larger outdoor memorial and celebration of life will be held later in the year.

Michèle and Diane would like to express gratitude to the wonderful staff of the Internal Medicine and Oncology services of the Royal Victoria Hospital, as well as the caregivers of Teresa Dellar Palliative Care.
