I'll be having a memorial for you on February 22, the same weekend that we once got together.  Close friends will be there and I hope it will be an event that they cannot forget.  I can't forget.

I met Winnie at Tyndale-St. Georges Community Centre. She was the coordinator for the English language program, where I was a teacher. Winnie was wonderful to work with.  She made students and staff feel comfortable and did an excellent job of running the program.

Winnie and I quickly became friends, perhaps because we both liked to laugh.  She had a wry sense of humour, and was great fun to be with.  

Winnie was also a very thoughtful person who genuinely cared about her students, her friends, and her family.

She had such a positive impact on those around her.

Although we only met Winnie a couple of times, you made us feel so welcome.
Winnie will be sadly missed by us

It was a pleasure knowing you Winnie. You are a very nice lady and I really enjoyed our conversations and your hospitality when I stayed over. You will be missed greatly, rest in peace.
