Winnie is survived by her brother Gerry and his family in Seattle and best friends in Montreal.
Winnie was born on May 15, 1939 in San Fernando City, Philippines to Josefina and Gerardo Flores. She graduated from the University of Santo Tomas (Manila, Philippines) in 1960 with a bachelor's degree in nursing. In 1961, she moved to the U.S., living in Pennsylvania and Michigan for 2 years. In 1963, she moved to Montreal where she worked at Jewish General Hospital for 50 years, retiring as head nurse in 2018.
A funeral is scheduled for 11-2pm on Saturday, October 12 at Dignity Memorial in Côte-des-Neiges, with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Winnie’s life.
