November 25, 1950 – June 5, 2024
Moreno Valley, California
Enrique Reyes Torres was born on November 25, 1950 in La Piedad Michoacan, Mexico to Rafael Reyes and Maria Isabel Torres. He was the middle born of 5 brothers. His dedication to family was apparent early in life when at 5 years old his father was taken from his family. At that young age he began farm working with his uncle Juan to earn a wage to support his family. His sacrifices of his younger years to take care of his family, and put his brothers through school, would shape the man he would ultimately become.
It was later in life that he met his soulmate and future wife Elodia Coria. Together they have 7 children: Fanny, Maria Isabel, Juan Manuel, Eliel, Yesenia, Margarita, and Enrique Jr. Through them, his home was filled with joy and laughter of so many grandchildren they can’t be counted on both hands. From the moment he became a father his responsibility and commitment to his growing family was clear. He took pride in being a provider for his wife and a teacher to his children, instilling inner strength while supporting them in all their life’s endeavors.
Enrique was overjoyed with the love he had as a grandfather. Only those who were close to him knew how he filled his bedroom with many, pictures of all his grandchildren so every morning when he awoke, he was reminded of his purpose in life. His goal was always to keep his family together. His wishes will forever be honored.
Enrique lived a happy, healthy and energetic life. He was an athlete, and the game of Soccer was his passion. He was a player and a teacher of the sport for many years. He was an outstanding goalkeeper and coached children, teaching discipline and creating champions. Never wanting to step away from the sport he also had a 30+ year career as an energetic referee working for adults and children leagues throughout the OC and Inland Empire
Enrique was a gifted healer. A positive man who for the last years of his life completely dedicated himself full time to helping heal those who sought him out through massage therapy. A true gift from God, he graciously and humbly was in service to others and those he helped can testify that he was a master at what he did
First to rise, and last to call it a day Enrique was a strong and motivating man! Everything he put his hands to he truly put all his strength to achieve the best outcome. He was an engaging and dedicated person to all his family and friends. He had a deep understanding of this world that most could only dream of having.
Enrique Reyes Torres was predeceased by his father Rafael Reyes his mother Maria Isabel Torres and the eldest of his brother Israel Reyes Torres. He leaves behind his beautiful wife, children, grandchildren, brothers, and countless others who will miss him deeply.
He lived an active 73 years of life until he was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. He wanted everyone to know that he fought a strong battle head on taking the brave route of herbal remedies. He passed away Wednesday morning June 5th at home surrounded by his family in Moreno Valley California. He is so deeply loved. He will be missed
