Florida moved to California where she met William Taft Brimmer who was serving in the United States Air Force. Florida was introduced to William by her sister-in-law Elineen. Florida and William dated and married soon after.
Florida had nine children, William, Bobby, Philip, Silva, Diane, Reginald, Charles, Jerry and Marlon. While William served in the United State Air Force, Florida was a homemaker and a stay at home mom.
Sadly, on February 6, 1988 William passed away after a long-term illness.
In the summer of 2022 Florida accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. Florida grew in her love for the Lord. Florida and Marlon had many conversation about the glory of heaven, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Florida was a big reader, loved to take long walks, and watch old movies like Albert Hitz Scotch. Florida was not one to back down from a good argument, and she usually won. It was never in doubt about the love Florida had for her children and her grandchildren, she loved them all dearly.
Florida leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Philip, Sylvia, Reginald, Jerry and Marlon. Her grandchildren, Bobby, Deon, April, Philip, Valerie, Yolanda, Kizzy, Rocky, Kenny, Charles, Reggie, Malcolm, NaShanda, Marlon jr, Monique, Charles, and a host of great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her children: Bobby, William, Diane and Charles.
In loving memory of Florida, no goodbyes, but see you later. You are loved by many, will be missed by all, and remembered forever. Rest in peace, Mom.
