Fonzo is predeceased by his parents Alonzo Dickerson and Helen Carter Dickerson, his brothers Alonzo and Jerome Dickerson and his beloved aunt and uncle Major Moses Gibson and Catherine Gibson.
He leaves behind his wife of 31 years Eva Diane, his daughter Mary Alyce Leigh Shaw and her husband Rodney Shaw, son Justin Wilson, daughter Jennifer Renee Wilson, seven grandchildren, and a noble tribe of nieces and nephews who he holds dear to his heart.
Fonzo graduated from Dorsey High School where he excelled as a varsity football player. He attended College where he developed his love for photography and history. He enlisted in the United States Army and thereafter worked for the United States Government for over 30 years.
In addition, he was a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha for over 60years and a plethora of other associations and organizations. Fonzo was a pioneer, trailblazer, and a successful real estate broker. He was a natural born leader who cherished and supported his family. Fonzo was a brilliant man that had a zest for life and derived great pleasure in various sports activities which included being an avid Raider and Laker fan.
He loved all genres of music, enjoyed playing dominos and took great pride in being the family confidant, adviser, friend, and protector.
Now that the sun has seemed to set on one so very dear, please know a soul who lived so well remains forever nearby.
