

Fred started elementary school at Saint Francis De Paula Catholic School and completed his Middle and High School years in Tularosa New Mexico public schools. After graduation he moved to Redlands California where he started a new life.
Fred met Arlene, married and started their family. Fred’s life centered around his wife and sons. He became a Prison Guard and eventually retired as a Parole Agent after 28 years in the Department of Corrections. He enjoyed his favorite pastime of fishing and riding his motorcycle to numerous destinations where he met up with cousins and friends. He also enjoyed going to the LA Chargers games with his best friend Alex.
Fred is survived by his beloved wife, Arlene Moheit, and his sons, Christian and Sean. Born on April 30, 1962, in Tularosa, New Mexico, Fred was the middle of five children born to Mary Iola Moheit Garcia and the late Kenneth Armand Moheit. He was predeceased by his brothers Kenneth “Bird” and Jack, and is survived by his brothers Larry and Kevin. A craftsman at heart, Fred possessed a remarkable talent for restoration and a natural ability to repair anything he touched. From the ball field to the home front, Fred’s guidance as a coach and his devotion to his family, friends and neighbors created a ripple effect of kindness that will never be forgotten.
A CELEBRATION OF FRED'S LIFE will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 10915 Pigeon Pass Rd, Moreno Valley, CA 92557, On May 8, 2026, from 11AM to 2PM.
