The Celebration of the Life of Lonnie Faye Catledge began on the 4th day of December in the year 1940. She was born Lonnie Faye Crawford, the third child of Lonnie Thomas II and Estelle Crawford. Lonnie Faye also known as “Lala” was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, but she later moved to California. She married Paul Catledge, on July 4th in the year 1971 and the fireworks never stopped.
Lonnie Faye passed away peacefully in her sleep, on the April 29, 2025; leaving her earthly body but remaining alive in spirit in the hearts of those who loved her who remain, including her husband Paul, her daughter Polita, her granddaughter Gabriela, and her grandson, Juno, her sister Camille (who preceded her in death), and her remaining sisters, Jacqueline, Jeanette, and Geneva, her brother Lonnie Thomas III, and countless family members, loved ones, and friends. On June 20, 2025, we will Celebrate the Life of the “Life of the Party”, Lonnie Faye Catledge, by gathering together once more - whether in person, in spirit, or in thought – to honor her wishes to have a simple, peaceful, joyous gathering of loved ones - not to mourn her passing – but to Celebrate her Life.

DRESS CODE: I cannot stress this enough. This is a joyous occasion. Some of you may choose to wear black and that’s okay, but please don’t be afraid to add a splash of color. My mom’s favorite color was PURPLE and she ESPECIALLY loved big cats, the CHEETAH print was her favorite of all. So if you would like to add a splash of purple or an animal print in her honor, that is perfectly fine too. However, it is NOT REQUIRED. PLEASE DRESS COMFORTABLY and I highly recommend wearing and/or bringing a pair of COMFORTABLE shoes.
