Rogelio Ruiz Flores

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rogelio Ruiz, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left us on February 18, 2025, at the age of 76. Rogelio was married to his devoted wife, Rosa Ruiz, for 54 wonderful years. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Rogelio’s life was shaped by hard work, dedication, and a strong sense of family. He spent over 30 years in the ink business, a career that he took great pride in. His work ethic and commitment to excellence were reflected in all he did, and he was well-respected by his colleagues and peers.

He was the proud father of two children, Berenice Powell and Rogelio Ruiz Jr. (deceased). Rogelio’s legacy lives on through his son-in-law, Charles Powell, and his three adored grandsons, Roger Powell, Michael Powell, and Charles Powell. His grandsons were his pride and joy, and he loved nothing more than spending time with them, often sharing stories and laughter.

Rogelio was the oldest of 12 siblings. He is survived by his four brothers: Rodolfo Ruiz, Jesus Moreno, Ernesto Moreno, and Armando Moreno, as well as his seven sisters: Consuelo Martinez, Maria Elena Mata, Rosa Murillo, Marta Talamantes(deceased), Francisca Sandoval, Irma Moreno, and Teresa Cabrera. He was a loving brother, and the bond he shared with his siblings was a source of great comfort and joy throughout his life.

A man of simple pleasures, Rogelio’s happiness was often found in the desert with his family and friends. He cherished his trips to Glamis every Thanksgiving, where he would enjoy the freedom of his red truck and his quad motorcycle. These moments in the desert, surrounded by loved ones, were some of his fondest memories.

Rogelio was a man who lived life on his own terms, with a generous heart and a deep love for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Rest in peace, Rogelio. You will be missed, but never forgotten.
